May I order online or should I send my reference material and payment by mail?

Clients may order totally online by sending any reference photos/material as an e-mail attachment or by printing out the website's order form and mailing the completed form along with any reference photos/materials by mail. All photos will be returned after your project is completed. As a safety precaution, we recommend that you make a copy of your photo before mailing it to us. We cannot be responsible for lost mail due to post office/delivery service errors.

GICLÉE PRINTS

What are Giclée prints and do they need special care?

Our Giclée prints are available printed on artist canvas and are finished with a glossy coat for durability. Giclée prints last a lifetime and are a high quality ink jet print of the artist's original artwork. Museums have recognized the highly sophisticated quality of this technology and have made Giclée editions a permanent part of their collections. Our Giclées are shipped to our clients rolled and in a shipping tube ready for stretching and framing to match the owner's home or office décor. As with any fine artwork, prints and paintings will fade over time, so all should be hung away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. A "Certificate of Authenticity" is included free with each Giclée print. All artwork is signed by the artist.

What is the purpose of a Certificate of Authenticity?

Certificates of Authenticity certify the details of a print edition's origin, production, and quantity. These certificates are signed by the artist and add value to each print by honoring the relationship between the artist and their patrons.


CUSTOM ARTWORK

May I order custom artwork?

Yes, you may order custom artwork by simply contacting us to discuss the subject matter and media to be used for the painting(s). Call Terhune Design @ 765-629-2249. We can work from photographs, if you wish. Please see the Custom Artwork page for samples of other custom artwork.

How are prices determined for Terhune Design "custom" art pieces and wall murals?

Prices are determined by size, complexity, research required, and media to be used for each individual piece of custom artwork. Wall murals also involve a mileage compensation. Materials and out-of-pocket costs are billed separately. Prices listed on Terhune Design web pages are subject to change without notice. Price quotes are available prior to order placement for all original and custom art. Call Terhune Design @ 765-629-2249 to discuss your specific art project.

Will original artwork shown on the Terhune Design web pages be an exact match to the artwork I receive when ordering an "original"?

The original you receive will be very similar, but because each piece is painted by hand, there may be some slight variations (as with natural fabrics). This is an indication of greater value.

SHIPPING/DELIVERY

How long will it take to receive my custom original artwork or Giclée print(s)?

Shipping of orders depends upon the volume of current projects in our studio at the time of order placement. Custom original artwork usually ships within two to three weeks of order placement. Giclée prints on canvas usually ship within three to four weeks of order placement. If artwork is needed more quickly or by a specific date, please call us to discuss placing a "rush" on your order. A rush fee of $75.00 is required to move your order to the front of the line. Orders are shipped via FedEx Ground. When clients need orders quickly, we recommend choosing Next Day Air and paying the additional fees.

Acceptance of Terms

The signature of the client or clicking the "acceptance" box shall evidence acceptance of these terms. Any purchases made from the Terhune Design website/e-store signify agreement to all terms. See Terms page for additional details.

GIFT CERTIFICATES

Do  you offer Gift Certificates?

Yes, simply go to the Gift Certificate icon on the "Products" page and enter the dollar amount you wish to purchase. Smaller denomination certificates can be used as a down payment on larger paintings.

How do I redeem my Gift Certificate?

Just send it along with your reference photo/materials or a description of the artwork you would like to create. Please also enclose an order form from the Terhune Design e-store to simplify the ordering process.

COPYRIGHTS

Can I use Terhune Design created artwork as my logo or in my store for product signage or any other commercial use?

Terhune Design retains all rights of usage and copyrights for artwork that we create. You would own the copyright on the photo that you furnish. However, when the original artwork is created from the photo, we retain the copyright on the new original art. We would gladly negotiate an additional fee for your commercial use of the original art. Please call us with any commercial use questions.

Will you be using my original art in your e-store or on your gift shop products?

At times we do place our client's art on gift items or produce it as Giclée prints. We are able to keep our custom prices lower by reproducing our artwork in these ways. We donate 10% of our Gift Shop sales to related charities, i.e., if it is a pet portrait, then a donation to a pet rescue group would be made. If you prefer that we not use your artwork in this way, simply let us know and we will refrain from adding your image to our e-store and marketing efforts.
